I’ve been selling things since I was five year old.
I was writing direct response sales copy before I could spell the words “issue” and “come.”
My mom is a marriage and family counselor and when I was 5 I asked her what she did.
What she actually does would be challenging for a 5 year old to understand, so she told me she was an “issue solver”.
Parents would tell her about their issues and she would help them solve the issues.
About 5 minutes later a piece of paper that said “Half Price Ishue Solver! Come Now! And Rocks on Sale!” was hanging on my bedroom door.
I was officially in business.
I charged 10 cents to solve any of my family member’s “ishues” and sold rocks for a quarter each.
My parents thought it was funny but they were extremely supportive, playing along and paying me for my expertise.
Eventually I graduated to lemonade stands, then selling candy at school, then eventually social media marketing, with about 20 other hustles in between.
Anytime I see anybody younger than me hustling I do everything I can to support them.
I’ve paid kids $100 for lemonade and I give free advice to anyone that asks and that I think I can legitimately help, because I wouldn’t be where I am if my family, friends, and mentors hadn’t supported me.
I recognize that I’m extremely blessed to have had this support as a kid and I know that many don’t, so when I have the opportunity to support others, I do everything I can to pay it forward.
Now my mission is simple: to use my skills in advertising and marketing to help grow businesses that have a positive impact on people’s lives.
For this reason, I am very selective with the people and businesses that I work with. I also set aside time to help people who are trying to start their own business, so if you run a business that has a positive impact or you think I could help you in some way, please reach out!
